Posted 2008-06-12 |  | Delta Consultants is actively seeking to fill an Environmental Project Engineer role in our Detroit area office located in Novi, Michigan. The position will support our Logistics and Pipeline team on portfolios of petroleum remediation sites. The role reports to a project manager and will be responsible for planning, design, installation and operation of environmental remediation treatment systems; and implementation of compliance prograrms at petroleum pipeline, terminal and bulk plant sites.
The role will also be accountable for providing engineering support on preparation of strategic and long range plans, lifecycle cost forecasts, work plans, sampling programs, conceptual site models, reports, and soil and groundwater investigations. Experience with design and operation of current remediation technologies for mitigation of soil and ground water issues is required. Knowledge of environmental regulations related to petroleum spill clean up along with great communication, writing, and computer skills desired. The role also requires a commitment to supporting a strong health and safety culture, providing excellent safety leadership, and maintaining a good driving record. Some out of town travel to project sites will be required.
Successful candidates will have a degree in an applicable field of engineering.
