Delta currently has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced, licensed engineer in our White Plains (Valhalla), NY office.

Environmental Project Manager : Licensed Engineer (PE)

The role of the Project Manager is to support the project team and should also have the following skills and knowledge:

• Experience with theoretical and practical applications of remediation and environmental engineering methods, including: selecting appropriate alternatives, pilot testing, remedial design and implementation, operation maintenance and optimization
• Knowledge of realistic schedule for implementation and start-up
• Equipment selection and procurement
• Contractor management (bidding, contractor selection, field oversight, invoice review)
• Identification of critical path to site cleanup through preferred remedial alternative
• Understands consulting work requires flexible work schedule with periods of extended hours to meet client commitments

Primary Assignment Elements:

• Conduct your work safely, support the safe behavior of your team, and promote a strong safety culture for the organization
• Participate in project planning meetings to determine current year and ten-year technical strategies for individual sites.  Work cooperatively with others in similar positions to enhance practical knowledge of remediation applications
• Provide high quality project-level engineering support

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Environmental Sciences
• 5-10 years of overall direct experience in the industry required;  2-3 years of Project Management experience
• A current and active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
• Excellent communication (oral and written)
• Administration and financial analysis skills to oversee and implement processes and procedures related to all aspects of UST remedial services work
• Must be capable of working in a supportive but fast paced environment on a daily basis 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• High energy and self-initiative
• Excellent decision making skills
• Ability to multi-task with multiple project managers
• Able to work independently and produce results
• Ability to delegate and mentor staff resources as well as to identify staffing needs
• Proactive thinking

Compensation range: $60K- $90K - depending on experience
