ST. PAUL, Minn June 04, 2009 - Delta Consultants, an Oranjewoud N.V. company (NYSE Euronext: ORANW), has selected Pacific Industrial Contractor Screening (PICS) to support Delta’s industry-leading Contractor Management Program.
The contractor approval process is a critical aspect of Delta’s risk management effort. Working with contractors and vendors who demonstrate proven ability to comply with superior Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards helps the firm manage HSSE impacts on stakeholders and communities. “The HSSE performance and qualifications of our contactors are very important elements of our mandatory Contractor Management Program,” says Dustin Rusch, Corporate HSSE Manager for Delta Consultants. “Joining the PICS consortium streamlines our prequalification process and reinforces our commitment to a culture of health and safety excellence.”
The PICS online-based process collects relevant prequalification information including financial, safety and client-specific requirements and verifies it against public records. PICS services are designed to standardize and centralize the contractor qualification process for consortium members, lessen the burden on contractors, and minimize potential incidents for the contractors and operators. PICS provides contractor prequalification to key industries served by Delta such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Manufacturing, and Energy.
“Many of our long-standing clients already utilize PICS, and more than 150 of our active contractors are already registered and approved PICS members,” says Rusch. “Knowing that many of our valued contractors have been verified through the PICS process is reassuring. It confirms the diligence of our previous contractor evaluation process.”
Current contractors interested in continuing their work with Delta Consultants and new contractors seeking work from the firm must register and submit prequalification information to PICS prior to August 1, 2009.
